Shameless plug for a friend

A dear friend, SisterLisa, has an awesome blog that I'm proud to recommend. I'm doing her study of Proverbs 31 there, plus she has more posts and man, the girl can write!

Oh, and if you do check out her blog, be sure to look at her other one, lots of great photos because she's multi-talented :)

It's not my fault

I didn't invent Facebook, so I can't be blamed for it. Why oh why did I sign up? One of my mom's sisters sent me an invitation and I could have just said no and continued to email back and forth with her. But I thought, "What's the harm? It's just a website." Oh ho ho, that's what *they* want you to think. Before I knew it, I was looking for old classmates all over the place, and people that I talk to every day even. Yeah, I talked Matt into signing up too, now we're both doomed.

So...anyone want to add me as their Facebook friend? Come on, you'll love it. Mwah hahaha!!

Hugs for everyone

Apparently it's Free Hugs Day. I tried to give them out on facebook but it's having issues right now so for those who actually read my blog, consider yourself hugged!!

Bread clips and other observations

They don't use bread clips here very often. Most bags of bread come with a twist tie instead. Just something different.

We don't have sidewalks in our neighbourhood. Well, there are occasional ones, for 30 feet or so. Street lights are very rare as well.

The mail is delivered six days a week and I can send mail from there too, no need to go to the PO. Cool.

5am wake up time doesn't get any easier.

September??

Are you sure? Oh my, that went by quickly. September means fall is on its way. Or autumn, if that's your preference. Either way, it is amazing that August disappeared so quickly in my world. I'm so used to August being the last month of summer vacation for the kids, it creeps by steadily but with a nice lazy rhythm to the days. This year it was move move move and then jump right into school, plus all the unpacking and adjusting, poof it's gone.
